Are hot air balloon tours safe?

Yes, hot air ballooning in Cappadocia is strictly regulated by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (SHGM). All pilots are professionally licensed, and balloons undergo regular technical inspections. Flights are cancelled for safety reasons if weather conditions are not suitable.

What happens if the flight is cancelled?

If the flight is cancelled due to bad weather, you will first be offered the option to rebook for the next day (subject to availability). If you cannot join the next day or if there is no availability, you will receive a full refund with no deductions.

Can children join a balloon tour?

Children under the age of 6 are not allowed to join balloon tours for safety and basket height reasons. Children aged 6–12 can participate under the supervision of their parents.

How long does a balloon tour last?

A standard balloon flight lasts approximately 60 minutes in the air. However, including hotel pickup, light breakfast, pre-flight preparations, celebration after landing, and drop-off, the total experience takes around 3–4 hours.

What time will we be picked up from the hotel?

Since flights take place at sunrise, pickup times vary by season. In summer, pickup is between 04:00–05:00, and in winter, between 06:00–07:00. The exact time will be shared with you the day before your flight.
