Dressed in a professional bee suit, you’ll walk with an expert guide to real beehives, learn about the colony’s fascinating life cycle, and even harvest fresh honey straight from the comb.

After the hive visit, you’ll enjoy a delightful local tasting featuring: 🍯 Fresh honey 🌸 Bee pollen 🍑 Dried apricot 🥛 Clotted cream (“kaymak”) ☕ Traditional Turkish coffee  It’s a relaxing and sweet way to end the experience!

Is it safe to be near the bees?

Yes — absolutely. All guests wear full protective suits, and the activity is guided by professional beekeepers. The hives are managed safely, and the bees are calm, used to human presence.

Can people with bee allergies join the tour?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately, no. For safety reasons, this experience is not recommended for guests with bee or insect allergies. Even though protective suits are worn, we must prioritize your health and safety.

What should I wear or bring?

Comfortable clothing (you’ll wear the beekeeping suit over it)  Closed shoes (no sandals)  Sunglasses and sunscreen  A camera or phone (you can take photos before/after the hive visit)  Avoid wearing perfume or bright-colored clothing, as bees are naturally drawn to them.

Where does the experience take place?

The experience takes place in a local bee farm surrounded by nature in Göreme or Avanos region, depending on the season and weather. Exact meeting points are confirmed after booking.

Are transfers included?

Accepted Answer

Yes — round-trip hotel transfers from Göreme, Ürgüp, Avanos, and Uçhisar are included in most packages. Please check your confirmation email for details.

How big are the groups?

Groups are intentionally small — up to 10 participants — for safety and a personalized learning experience. Private workshops are available upon request.

What happens in case of bad weather?

Since bees are sensitive to temperature and wind, the tour may be rescheduled or canceled if conditions aren’t suitable. If canceled, you’ll receive a full refund or an alternative date.

What’s the cancellation policy?

You can cancel up to 24 hours before the experience for a full refund. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the start time are non-refundable. The tour depends on good weather. If canceled due to poor weather, you could rebook for an alternative date or receive a full refund.
